Currently in its second year, EMDASH Foundation is again supporting Frieze Projects, the curated, not-for-profit section of Frieze Art Fair. Frieze Projects shows new work by international artists made especially for the fair. Frieze Projects 2012 will be curated by Sarah McCrory for her third and final year.
The EMDASH Award for emerging artists living outside the UK is part of the Frieze Projects programme, produced by Frieze Foundation, supported by EMDASH Foundation and presented in collaboration with Gasworks. Artists are invited to propose a new work to be realised at Frieze Art Fair, the work will be produced under the auspices of Frieze Projects. Projects may take the form of site-specific installation; performance; film; video or print work.
Selected by an expert committee, the winner will be given the extraordinary opportunity to realize a major new work at Frieze Art Fair as part of Frieze Projects and an Artist Residency at Gasworks in London.
Application for this year’s EMDASH Award is now closed. The winner of the award will be announced in May 2012.
Frieze Art Fair will take place in London between 11 and 14 October 2012.
